BEFORE I TELL YOU ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Let me tell you why it exist.

In 2014 I relocated myself and two teenage boys from Little Rock, Arkansas to Seattle, Washington. I had a well thought out plan for how the move would go, and a beautiful vision for how we would all adjust to our new environment.

Well…that was REAL cute.

What I thought was going to be a fresh new start ended up being the destruction of identity, relationships, confidence, trust, sanity… all the things. â€‹â€‹

At some point, while I was sitting in the destruction of my self-imposed life transition, I started asking myself:

How did I get HERE?
Not here in Washington State, but here in this state of mind.

I mean, I was over 40 and followed all the rules… sort of.

I made it against the statistical odds of being Black, female, and a single mom…

I had two degrees, and was a licensed clinical therapist...

Why did I feel so stuck...so defeated by this change?

To answer this question, I started journaling.

At first I wrote about my woes and the people causing those woes. Eventually, my writing began to peel back the layers of my whole life's journey up to that point.

  • My expected place in society;

  • The internalized list of respectable behaviors;

  • The shame and guilt associated with unmet expectations;

  • The submissive silence to keep the peace and make others comfortable;

  • The self-sabotaging limits and unrealistic expectations I held myself to...

The stories that emerged through my writing...

WERE NOT MINE, but they played a huge role in shaping my identity. â€‹

At one point, the underlying narratives served a purpose in my life, but they started feeling like walls closing in on me — making me feel powerless; forcing me to placate and perform; and guilting me into staying complacent.

Well, I wanted MORE out of life

I was tired of living life by the standards and expectations of others... I wanted the freedom to seek expansion.

I wanted to flow in life instead of feeling trapped by one of circumstance.

I wanted to embrace change with confidence instead of living in fear of it.

I wanted to feel limitless in my pursuit for more

I started to realize that if I wanted More out of life, then I needed to get beyond the walls of my current life stories, and begin to unlearn... ME!

Here's what I did first:
I started getting curious about my emotions.

I had some BIG FEELS that were controlling my every move! Getting curious about my emotions helped me uncover subconscious narratives, and ultimately gave me the power to navigate emotional responses in a way that felt empowering instead of consuming.

I released  expectations of what life was supposed to be.

Releasing my rigid expectations gave me the freedom to explore what life could be instead of being fixated on what it wasn’t. I was open to new opportunities and experiences, AND I discovered parts of myself I didn't know existed!

I started focusing on what I could  control.

Turns out, there’s not much I can actually control! Trying to bend pieces, people, and outcomes to fit the narratives I was attached to was such a ginormous waste of time and energy! Focusing on what I could control—my response to life's circumstances—freed me to enjoy more of the people and activities I truly wanted in my life.

"For me, it was the societal pressure. Like, oh, you’re a middle-aged empty nester, your life doesn’t mean anything now, or you’re supposed to be doing something. I believed that for so long, I mean it was debilitating. I'm finally in a place where I actually feel okay with just being still, and knowing that whatever I do is enough. I'm enough".

F.L.O.W. MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF YOU WANT...

O1

Alignment Between Who You Need to Be and Who You Want to Be

Stop sacrificing yourself for everyone else's gain. You deserve to feel whole, worthy of support, softness, and at peace in your body in every space.

02

Freedom from Guilt and Shame

Release the belief that seeking more means being ungrateful, or that choosing to take care of yourself means you are neglecting others, or that embracing change equates to betrayal of family and culture.

Emotional Fulfillment & Authentic Connections

High performance does not always equal fulfillment. You want to feel seen and valued beyond your professional identity or your ability to get things done—desiring relationships that make you feel supported, understood, and cared for, not just useful or admired.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHILE IN F.L.O.W.

01/ Launch Week

F.L.O.W. is an experience of unlearning, releasing, and reclaiming. During launch week we will begin laying the groundwork for change by orienting to my signature A.I.R.R. framework and key concepts of the program.

02/ Phase One - Awareness

Unlearning can not happen until you are aware of what needs to be unlearned. In this phase, you will begin ushering the subconsciousness into consciousness and begin putting the power of narrative in your hands.

03/ Phase Two - Investigation

You’ve been asking yourself,  “why do I keep getting stuck in the same place” for a while. In this phase you’ll get comfortable with curiosity (not judgment); become the subject of your own research; and explore thoughts, behaviors, and mindsets that keep you in loops of stagnation instead of intentional forward motion.

04/ Phase Three - Realign & Respond

YES, LIFE IS LIFE-ING, but that does not mean you are powerless to create the freedom and expansion you desire. In this phase  you will bring all the pieces together and learn how to access your power to make intentional choices aligned with the values and vision of the person you want to become.

05/ Flow-work

The concepts you learn while in F.L.O.W. will remain mere ideas if not taken through a process of practice and implementation. The homework (flow-work) within the program is designed to address the normal resistance to change by gently pushing your brain beyond its comfort zone of identity and into the spaces of growth and freedom you desire.

06/ Group Support

The choice to live a life authentic to who you want to become can often lead to loneliness—not everyone in your life has the capacity to support the changes you are about to make. The group dynamics of F.L.O.W. provides coaching, support, and accountability while on your individual journey of shedding and evolving.

"I’ve learned the formula for how to turn off autopilot and step back to really look at my life. I feel empowered to create the life I want. Now I understand what things are getting in the way, and that level of awareness gives me power. When I first started, I didn’t know what direction I wanted to go in. I just knew something had to change, but I didn’t know what or how. I honestly feel like a different person. Not that I have it all figured out, but I'm learning how to be my own help".

"I knew there were pieces missing. I was ready to do the work, but I didn’t know where to start. I’d been holding onto certain beliefs for so long that I felt stuck, like I was spinning in a cage, constantly hitting the walls. When we started talking about values, I realized I was so used to focusing on what I didn’t want that I had forgotten how to dream about what I do want".
